In January 2026, the Climate Innovation Coalition, in partnership with The Praxis Group, developed and launched the 1st annual Climate Transformation Challenge™ at San Jose State University.
The Challenge is an annual competition that empowers student teams to develop real solutions at the intersection of technology and social change. The 2026 Challenge was a huge success! Twelve student teams from San José State University competed to design and develop real climate solutions.
Congratulations to our top three: EqualEarth (1st), The Matriarch Mandate (2nd & Platinum – shown here), and Packaging Without Plastic (3rd).
CIC and Praxis have launched the 2027 Challenge – this round will include students from Stanford University, UC Berkeley, West Valley College and Foothill College.
